Greetings, friends, and welcome back!
Before we get too deep into this daily meditation challenge, I wanted to address a very common misconception about meditation: that you're trying to stop thinking.
You are NOT trying to stop thinking with meditation, although you may find that over time there is more "space" between thoughts. Instead, you are noticing when your mind has wandered into thinking/remembering/planning/worrying and then you bring your attention back to the present moment (i.e. your breath).
Mind wandering is not something to see as a mistake or problematic in any way. In fact, it is the moments when you've noticed that your mind has wandered that are your opportunity to strengthen your mindfulness "muscle."
