Mindfulness tip

Greetings, meditator friends!

Mindfulness is about being fully present with whatever is happening right now in your immediate environment. 

Often when we experience stress, it is because we are ruminating about the past or anticipating or worrying about the future.  While the present moment is rarely ideal, it is often just fine.  Unless you're dealing with chronic pain, I'm going to guess that in this moment you are relatively comfortable and whatever is happening around you is at least okay.

Let's check in with the present right now. 

Stop and look up from your screen. Where are you?  What can you see?  Check in with your body.  Can you feel yourself breathing?  What other body sensations can you notice?  What emotions (if any) are present?  What thoughts are at the forefront of your mind?

Allow yourself to just be here, experiencing this moment, and when you're ready, continue about your day.  :-)
