Habit Building Tip
Greetings, meditator friends!
Happy Thursday! While the fact that it's almost Friday is reason enough for celebration, I also think we should celebrate the fact that you are kicking butt at staying committed to your meditation practice! Go, YOU!!
Now, even though I'm all about the encouragement and support, I want to acknowledge a truth for a moment.
At this point in the challenge your enthusiasm may be losing a bit of its luster (or not! It could still be super-fantastically-lustrous!)
I say this only because I understand that there will be days when you are just too sleepy or too busy or too "whatever" to meditate. This is totally okay and expected, and I want to name this fact and let you know that the key is to just keep going.
At this stage in the challenge, you are probably still making the choice to meditate every day. Eventually, it will become such a habit that it is no longer a decision to be considered, you just do it. I don't decide if I'm going to brush my teeth every day, I just do. :-)
So, if you're feeling ambivalent about your practice, push through and just do 2 minutes, if that helps. If you do miss a day, don't beat yourself up and just come back and do it the next day!
